Mais uma vez volto para mostrar um novo amor.
Quer dizer, novo já não é! Não tive tempo com o trabalho em tempo de festas e o início do ano de vos mostrar mais uma ferramenta feita pelo meu pai, segundo as minhas especificações.
E tão necessária que ela é!
A minha nova prensa!
Quando estamos a iniciar um negócio de encadernação ter uma prensa é essencial, mas estas atingem preços que de momento não posso comportar, pelo que tinha de arranjar uma alternativa.
Inicialmente prensava os livros e papel com a ajuda das muitas enciclopédias que tenho! Sabia que elas seriam úteis para algo mais que a função inicial! ;) Mas nada é melhor do que uma prensa, em termos de força aplicada e tempo que poupa.
E assim surgiu este modelo após alguma discussão com o meu pai do que era possivel fazer.

Hello everyone!
I’m returning once again to show you a new love.
I mean, it is no longer new! I have not had time until now, with all the work on the holidays and the beginning of the year, to show you another tool handmade by my father, according to my specifications.
And it was badly needed!
My new press!
When we start a bookbinding business, having a book press is essential, but they are quite expensive, and currently I cannot expend that amount, so I had to find an alternative.
Initially I would press my books and paper with the help of the many encyclopedias I have! I knew they would be useful for something more than their initial function!! ;) But nothing is better than a press, in terms of force applied and time saving.
And so, we did this model, after some discussion with my father on what we could do here at home.
My work is even more handcrafted that before, even the tools! :)

Espero que este início de ano esteja a ser bom apesar do frio e de tudo o que se passa no país e no mundo.
Eu tenho estado muito ocupada a fazer agendas. Sim, ainda as agendas!
Elas estão a ser um sucesso, principalmente esta, a "It's all in the numbers".
Mas também estas, "Spring Flowers" e "Big Flower".
E estas, "Chocolate Garden", "Chocolate Letters" e "Red Letters".
Estou extremamente feliz por terem gostado das minhas agendas e já comecei a desenhar a de 2013. Têm alguma sugestão?
Obrigada a todos que me apoiaram, seja por terem comprado uma agenda, seja por terem dado uma palavra amiga sempre que necessário.
E agora as novidades estão a caminho.

How was your January?
I hope this year is beginning to be good, despite the cold and everything that goes on in the country and the world.
I have been very busy making planners making. Yes, still the agendas!
They are being a success, especially this one, the "It's all in the numbers."
But also these, "Spring Flowers" and "Big Flower".
And these, "Chocolate Garden," "Chocolate Letters" and "Red Letters".
I am extremely happy that you have liked my planners and have already begun designing the 2013 planner. Do you have any suggestions?
Thank you to all who supported me, because they have bought an agenda or by giving a kind word when needed.

De volta para divulgar uma das encomendas especiais que tive este Natal!
Não me consigo conter mais!!!
Há muito que pensava em fazer algo dedicado às crianças, algo especial, que reflectisse os seus gostos, personalidade e permitisse acompanhar a sua evolução.
Foi assim que nasceu o conceito "Era uma vez..."!
Esta ideia esteve em lume brando durante muitos meses e a encomenda especial da A. permitiu trazer à tona este meu projecto.
Neste caso a pedido da A. foram feitos diários, mas também podem ser álbuns de fotografias ou alguma outro livro que queiram.
Depois de um briefing acerca dos gostos e personalidades das crianças nasceram estes diários muito especiais.

I can no longer contain myself!
For a long time it has been an idea of mine doing something for children, something special, reflecting their tastes, personality and that allows to follow their development.
Thus was born the concept of "Once upon a time ..."!
This idea has been in the backburner for many months and the special order of A. allowed me to bring to light this project.
In this case, by request of A. I made journals, but it can also be photo albums or any other book you want.
After a briefing about the tastes and personalities of children, it was born this very special project.

These diaries are full of special details. They are embroidered and with images in colorful fabrics, according to the preferences of children. Inside, in the front endpapers, there is a pocket, in which I added labels with the patterns of the fabrics used that they can use wherever they want. (see pictures above)
Among the pages are colored pages with silhouettes, according to their likes. In Ema’s journal I did not finish the words to give her the opportunity to do so, thus having one more activity in the journal. (see pictures above)
On the back there is a secret envelope so they can keep their special secrets. It is so disguised that you almost can’t see it in the picture! (see pictures above)
They all have a bag (packaging) with a stamped image in line with the theme of the journal.
It was a laborious project but that gave me much pleasure to do.
I think it's the ideal gift for a birthday, Christmas or any other special date.

Já há algum tempo que não mostro novidades no blog, mas isso não quer dizer que não as haja!

It has been some time now that I don't show new items at the blog, but that does not mean that there aren’t any!
Some special orders have taken some of my time (thankfully so!) and the new products are waiting for the finishing touches and photos to make their triumphant appearance!
But I've got news for those who like bookbinding:
My new sewing frame!
Made by my father, according to my specifications, it‘s an essential work tool that will help me save time. The best part is that I saved a considerable sum on the purchase of a new sewing frame! :)
