What's coming

Hello! Hello!

How have you been?

I hope you are all having a great Spring, here in Lisbon it seems more like Summer, but that's alright!

I've been hard at work so I can launch my project as soon as possible!

As I said before, the little details are taking longer that I had hoped for, but it has been very rewarding and a wonderful learning experience. :)

I'll be open for business very soon, so for all you that have been thinking what I was up to, I'll give you a sneak peek, a more insightful one that I've given you before.

**Blushing**

Well, as someone recently reminded me I haven't kept you updated about "things" in the works. Sorry about that!

The small little things are taking longer than expected and it's hard to post when I don't want to give it all away.

I must say that all the small details are really what takes most of my time.

It's a one woman show, so all is made by me! The actual pieces and all other aspects of starting a business, being a creative one or any other, like my logo and the concept behind it, packaging, product development, prototypes and all the other things that will make my business run. You get the picture.

Did someone had the same experience or is it just me?

My own deadline is coming so something will have to finally come to fruition. No pressure, for sure.

I really would like to post pictures of the things I'm making but it's still too soon.

But I would like to live you with some questions and maybe a challenge.

Does someone have a experience to share about first starting a business? What were the differences between what you expected and what was really needed to take it off the ground? Were you surprised in any way (by legal details, by bureaucracies)?

I would like to hear about your personal experience so we could share some insights.

Have a great weekend!

Happy small steps

It has been two weeks since I last posted but it has been an intense two weeks.

The final steps were taken in my path to being my own boss. And they were so simple and quick that I was almost disappointed.

Isn't it supposed to be all so difficult?

It wasn't. I could not take care of it all at first, simply because I needed some information that I had to wait my insurance company to give me but after that I was in and out of two public services in less than half an hour. And that was in a day of public transportation strikes!

What to say? The gods must be smiling upon me.

It was such a great day! Sunny and with lots accomplished.

I know that you are curious to know what I'm up to but I ask you to wait just a little bit longer.

There will be some changes to the blog also but all in good time.

Now it's time to work and shop for supplies.

I'll let you in on some of the things I already got.

Quietly changing...

I've been, for the last few months, working towards a change.
A change in the way I approach life.
A change in the way I think.
A change of work.

Yesterday I finally took the plunge. I am now my own boss.

I want to be able to steer my life and work, to invest in something that will bring me more than money. I want to get back to creatively look at life, to develop something and see it take part in another person's life.

Believe me when I say that this hasn't been an easy decision. It's not because it is such a difficult and bureaucratic process, it wasn't, it's because I am naturally adverse to change and risk.

I was always the pessimist in life, arguing that I was a realist not pessimist. It is hard to me to see the glass half full.

But I think it's time to change all that. This is the time for action!

In the next few weeks I'll be working towards new goals and I'll show you then what this was all about.

I hope to see you there.
